SISTERS???

Whether Nat and I are blood sisters, we are definately sisters at heart! We took this picture at a meet and eat at Saltgrass a couple of months ago. We both have had as the background on our phones and several people from Tech and my friends here and people I know, have asked if we were sisters! Definately sisters from another mister!!! :) Love you Nat-Dawg!

New year on the rise...

Once again, I have failed to blog in a while. I'm such a failure at this. But on another note, blogging is one of my goals for 2010. Lets see how much I keep up with that goal once the new year arrives in 2 days.... So a little catch up.

Well Cliff turned 27 on November 12. The prior weekend I threw him a party at our house, which was a HUGE success. Birthdays are one of my favorite days and what better way to celebrate than with a party!!! I invited several of his friends from high school, college and Halliburton. Majority of the turnout was of course, Halliburton. Several of my girlfriends helped me set up and get everything perfect before the party began. We had a wonderful time and only one accident, which turned out to be a broken nose. Poor Matt!!!

On Cliff's actual birthday, I finally gave in and became the most awesome wife to Cliff and alloweed him to go ahead and get a 4 wheeler. We are not talking just a pitty party 4 wheeler either. This is the meanest, baddest one out there. And actually I love it now too (thought I would never own up to that comment)!!! We are looking forward to many adventures with friends and each other with the new beast!!!

We had an outing with the Roberson's (Kandice, Justin and Kaestyn) to Bass Pro Shop and Cabela's early December. Here is a sweet picture of Kaestyn by the shark! Kaestyn is such a sweet baby boy that is always happy and NEVER cries!!!

Long time no see....

Wow.... That is all I can literally say.. Its been such a long time. This summer has been quite rocky overall for Cliff and myself. But here we are in almost November and I know we are going to make it. Thanks to all of those that lended us a helping hand and get through the troubled times one day at a time. Prayer is such an amazing tool and trusting that the Man upstairs has a lifeplan for us truly gave Cliff and I so much hope. We also visited with an amazing counseling, Beverly Ross with Wise County Christian Counseling, who gave us several tools to us both individually and together. We've also started attending the Aurora First Baptist Church in Aurora, TX which is about 15 minutes south of us. We are really enjoying the experience there. Actually a guy that Cliff works with invited us to attend and we have gone several times since.
So a catch up on our lives...
Well Cliff's work is picking up! Woohoo!!! At least its not to the point of fear and maybe being the next one to be laid off. He has spent many days, nights and in between time at his deer lease in Henrietta, TX. He loves it there. I can't wait for actual deer season (gun) to open and him get a nice buck to mount in the house. He is super stoked! Plus during the time he is hunting I think that gives me the opportunity to SHOP!!!
My birthday was October 4. So that Saturday my mom came down and we headed to Christmas in Cowtown. We spent a few hours there shopping and looking at some cute things. She treated me to lunch at Pappadeaux (my fave). We then headed to the mall and just shopped. Had a great mother-daughter day together and I got this super cute black tote. LOVE IT!!!! That evening several of our family friends, and then 2 Halliburton couples headed to the Ponder Steakhouse and had dinner. Let me tell you there was so much laughter, my stomach muscles hurt so bad the next day. HAPPY BIRTHDAY NANETTTE!!! (That is how they sung it to me!)
Other than that Cliff and I have been spending lots of quality time together and just getting back to the basics of US!
Hope everyone has a great week and I promise I will be back on here a lot more often!

Seems like it has been FOREVER...

Hello my sassy friends and follows. Seems like it has been forever since I have blogged. So much to catch up on for sure!

Lets see. Been working lots and lots in the yard. Yes I'm the blingy kind of gardener. I like the bright colored flowers and the cha-ching colors! Actually what elese is there out there?!?!?! But yard work galore and I'm the weird girl (and wife too) that actually enjoys to mow. What is wrong with me seriously????

Shopping.. A little here and there, but actually the last time I went was with my mom a few weekends ago. But I am actually gearing up for the Fall season of all the markets and shows. I can't wait. Right now on the list I have the following:

1. Christmas in Cowtown - Fort Worth Junior League http://www.juniorleaguefw.org/?nd=cowtown

2. Neath the Wreath - Plano Junior League http://www.jlplano.org/plano/npo.jsp?pg=sponsor

3. Round Top Antique Show www.roundtop-marburger.com/index.htm
4. Chi Omega Christmas Market http://www.chiomegaxmas.org/
5. Canton
So on another note.. I have been buying the Walmart brand chicken ever since Cliff and I tied the knot.. Well recently I got to the point where chicken was just not the chicken i liked anymore.. Until last night... I bought Tyson brand chicken and oh my goodness.. a world a difference. So yes I'm a Tyson Chicken girl ONLY now!!!
Well enough non-sense for now... Anyone that is interested in joining my mom and me on some of the above referenced shows, leave me a comment, and you can join in on the shopping rendevous!!!
Until next time, much love and belief to you all!!!

Stormy Weather

Well as most of you know we have had quite the "spring" weather here in the past week. Cliff and I had lots of cleanup this last weekend. Our grass grew like 3 feet with all the water, tree branches broke and lots of weeds. Seriously why does it happen so fast???

Anyhow we spend Saturday cleaning up the yard and then relaxing in the pool later in the day. But I love the look of hard work afterwards!!!

Sunday I met mom in Denton for a late lunch and then we shopped for a bit. We decided that we are each other's shopping buddies for life. We have so much fun looking for cute things and know each others taste too! She always buys me something when out and bought Cliff several shirts too. I love my mama! She is too sweet!

Red Grapes

I was so excited to find these HUGE and literally I meant HUGE grapes at the store. The sign even stated they were "seedless." Yeah so I got home, opened the bag, washed thoroughly and BOOM... A seed, then another, and another.. 3 seeds in this huge grape! Boy I was lied too. Anyhow they are delicious and huge, but contain 3 seeds in each grape.

I know random, yet I'm passing on to you some useful information. Don't just read the sign at the store, read the bad too!!! :)

Memorial Day Weekend

Can we say relaxing!!!!! Cliff came off of working 4 days non-stop from being off 9 days from vacation. Anyhow job was way down in Johnson County, started everyday at 6am, some days earlier, worked until 10ish every night, with Cliff getting home around 11:30ish. My hubby was just plain tired!!! So I honored his request and we relaxed. We missed Carla's (Cliffs sister) birthday dinner Friday night and Taylor's (Justin & Amanda Glenn's) 1st birthday party on Saturday.

We watched movies, grilled out, vegged out, layed out, swam, working in the yard, etc. Which are all things we enjoyed doing together!
So for the movie side of things:

Mall Cop - Cute, corny, but made me laugh!
Valkyrie - history buff movie - Cliff enjoyed, I tuned out ofcourse.
Bride Wars - Loved it! Super cute movie! Thanks for recommending Amy!
So that concludes our 3 day weekend! Have a great week everyone!!! 4 day work week! Woo-hoo!!!

Vacation in a nutshell

Our happily ever after continues on into 2 years!!! Wow crazy how fast married life flies! We celebrated our 2nd anniversary/honeymoon by us both taking off a week from work and spending quality time together.

So here is our week in a nutshell!!!

Monday - Rain, rain go away!!! Well the day started rainy so we slept in and decided to make that day our errand running day. We had lunch at our favorite fast food place, Chick-fi-la. After leaving there we headed to Bankston Ford to get one of my seats worked on. Lucky us, we got put in a Ford Focus! Yeah it was hilarious! Cliff is 6'4" and tried to drive out of there in this wind up car. No offense to anyone, but not a good combination for my man. We had to pick up my ring that was being repaired in Plano, then decided to hit up the mall. I have been needing new glasses so we decided to look around. We found the perfect ones at the Oakley Store, they are super cute. I should have them in a few days actually! The coolest part of our mall trip besides new eyewear, is we were able to park in the "compact car" parking spot! Picture attached for proof!!! Picked up our car and thankfully, they factory never sprayed the seat with some sort of lubricant (and yes it stunk REALLY bad) so my seat wouldn't go down. Ford makes me so happy one moment and irritated the next. To top the day Cliff and I stopped by Best Buy and he bought me a new camera!!! Yes a new one that takes awesome pictures!! We went with a Canon and absolutely love it so far! I feel like a photographer, just wish some days I had more to take!

Tuesday - We slept in and the coolest part was Cliff layed in bed keeping still just so I could sleep! And the first words he spoke were Happy Anniversary!!! i made him French Toast for a breakfast in bed treatment! I got a pedicure by my wonderful nail chicky, Shayne, and got this wonderful turquoise color. Its rockin!!! We stopped by Cabela's on our way to Downtown Fort Worth and I got Cliff a game camera! Got a super deal on it too!!! We then arrived downtown. We had dinner at the Reata http://www.reata.net/. I would described it as cowboy cuisine with a country/western sizzle! Food was excellent!!! We both got steak.. Cliff got a buffalo ribeye and I got a tenderloin and a lobster tail. Delicious!!! We ended the night walking around downtown and sitting at 8.0 talking and just looking back on our great times together.

Wednesday - Sunday: We literally worked our booty's off extending our patio with flagstone! It looks wonderful and will be great this summer! We also broke out the kiddie pool to relax in on the hots days!!! We both got way too much sun in the process.

Bare with me too.. pics are not in order but they will make sense.. Sorry!
New Flower Bed - Hoe'd by both, planted with love by me!
