Cheyenne

Well Cliff received some very unfortunate news on February 13. His only dog he has ever had went up to Doggy Heaven. It has been a little rough on Cliff, because she was very special to him. She was such a sweet dog and oh so smart. She has been pretty sick on and off for almost a year and her time finally came. She went to rest in a place she loved, her dog house in the back yard. Rick and Roni (Cliff's parents) were going to dig a big hole behind the fence and bury her.

We joined the Church!!!

Well we got up to go to church on January 31 and on our drive in we both felt the calling to join the church this day. Cliff told me he wanted to wait until after the service and do it. I don't know if I don't hear it normally or what, but Pastor Withers stated at the end if you don't feel comfortable please come down after the service. I truly felt that statement was for us since Cliff was a little shy about going down in front of everyone. What an awesome start for the new year and Cliff and I finally have a church home after almost 2 1/2 years of visiting Churches in Decatur.
So we are now members at Aurora Baptist Church and absolutely love it. Thank you again James & Anne King for inviting us to join you!

Cupid's Day and Weekend

Cliff was quite the wonderful husband this year, I must admit. I told him not to send me flowers and not to do much. Well he went above and beyond.

Since snowed in a few days, Cliff went to a gun show in Fort Worth and I went shopping with Kandice to get out of the house on Saturday. Cliff took his 308 and sold and is now shopping for an AR-15. He found one he REALLY liked, but decided to wait.

Kandice and I shopped literally til we dropped. I cashed in some Bath and Body Works coupons and got the new P.S. I Love You Spring Fling scent, Yummy! Got a steal on a Polo brand shirt for Cliff at Dillards. Also got a comforter set at Dillards for $75.00. I've been looking forever and we are in desperate needs for one too. Its brown with a paisley print but still all brown and I am going to sass up with some turquoise accents and possible animal print.

The 3 of us met up at Mimi's Cafe for a late lunch. I then had to head back to Decatur for the Daddy Daughter Dance that was held by the Decatur Junior Women's Club. What an awesome evening! So sweet to see all of the little girls dressed up, up-do's, nails done and joined by their daddy's. The event was spectacular and had a good time with the girls in the club.

So Valentine's Day I got up to get ready for Church. I then woke up Cliff to start getting ready. He got ready very quickly and disappeared. We came back with a massive gift bag and a huge heart shaped balloon. I opened after un-wrapping lots and lots of tissue paper to find 4 new charms for my Pandora bracelet. I got to add the Princess Mattress, Breast Cancer Charm, Pink Spacer and Cross to my bracelet. I was in tears that he did this for me and the charms he got for me had so much meaning to me and that he picked them out ALL on his own. My mom was sweet as always and got me the everlasting love charm too. They sure know how to fix me right up!

That afternoon we met up with Kandice and Justin after church and Sunday School. Cliff and Justin went to the gun show and Kandice and I went to the chocolate festival at Central Market. Fun, as always when visiting CM.

We ended the evening for a wonderful day at Pappadeaux Seafood. We had to wait for almost 2 hours... UGH!!! But we sat by the bar and while sitting there we were talking to the guys opening the raw Oysters and they ended up giving us several for free. Cliff and Kandice both tried for the first time. Cliff definitely said he would rather have them cooked. Of course I was in heaven, I love them!

Thanks honey for making me feel so special and treating me like your princess. Here's to many years with you!

Doe shooting

Well coming towards the end of deer season, including the extended season this year, Cliff finally had time to get out the the deer lease in Henrietta and shoot him a doe. We took her to a new place near Alliance Airport called Syracruse Processing. Anyhow we got so much STUFF and it ended up only costing $94.00 to have processed. Surprisingly I have never eaten deer hamburger meat, however, we got lots this time instead of all the sausage. I mixed 1/2 deer hamburger meat and 1/2 cow hamburger meat to make chili last week and it was amazing!!! So ladies, give it a try!

New Year and lots of catch up

My best friend was in town from mid December until mid January. We got to spend lots of time together, which was desperately needed. We spend one entire day shopping!!! One of our favorite past times together, which we never are able to do anymore with her living in Oregon now. Amy came down again and spent the weekend. We went to see Aaron Watson at Billy Bob's one evening and had a great time overall. Thanks for being a wonderful friend Ames!
