Week 11 Updates

I have come to reason, the best way to keep everyone up to date on the pregnancy, is by blogging. So I am "going to try" to update each week with things going on with the pregnancy.
Symptoms include as follows:
  • Insomnia - I will literally wake up during the middle of the night and put in a DVD and watch the entire movie or play games on my phone for 2 - 3 hours. No fun, but doesn't seem to even phase the bear I am married too!
  • Nausea - Yep it happens. But usually can eat some crackers, yogurt or fruit and feel fine. I think its just not eating as often as I should. Hard to change old habits.
  • Headaches - Definately occur, especially when I never got them before unless out in the sun for long hours. But thankful for being allowed to take good ol' Tylenol!
  • Frequent peeing - I know TMI, but yes... I read in one of my books that it should soon subside since there shouldn't be so much pressure on my bladder. Thank goodness!
As far as cravings here is what its been:
  • Fruit - I can't get enough. I've eaten so many apples and oranges and strawberries, that I might turn into one. But so yummy!
  • Ice cream - Imagine that!!! And yes I even tried the new Cotton Candy flavor from Blue Bell. Its ok, but can only take in small doses.
  • Jalapenos - Yep hot and spicy. I want them on everything.. Burgers, pizza, taco salad, etc. i know I am going to die later when the heartburn kicks in full throttle. Definately going to need to resort to something more friendly to the digestive system.

I went to my first doctors appointment on Thursday to see Dr. Pierce and his wonderful staff. Cliff and I were so excited about the visit and to officially hear the good news. I had this weird feeling in my mind, like what if I really wasn't pregnant or something and I told everyone and was thinking I was moving right along and there was really nothing... But that was quickly confirmed and Joy told me I was 11 weeks along and due March 10, all which I thought. My visit was mainly lots and lots of questions and blood work. I basically gave my life history and also told what i wanted when the delivery time came. Dr. Pierce told me there will be no problem if my water does break at home, that I will have plenty of time to get to Allen Presby. So Cliff will definately I'm sure still drive like a mad man to the hospital just for that fact that he can. Dr. Pierce gave me the guidelines and what i could have and not have, etc. I got tons of information and prenatal vitamins and calcium and iron too. Love free stuff. We got the total amount that we would owe Dr. Pierce, which was a huge blessing. i love being on Cliff's insurance!!! It rocks! While there at the hospital, we also visited registration, to get the amount we will owe the hospital too. Everyone knows I am a HUGE planner and need to know figures so I can work into my budget, especially since I am jobless right now. Anyhow... Lots of excitement in our world and we go back in a month and should be able to hear the heartbeat then.

For now you can imagine our baby the size of a lime... :)

The Proof and beginning of ButterBean!!!

The morning of July 10 led me to my 2nd interview with the City of Newark and Cliff to pick up a smoker at my dad's house. When Cliff arrived home we decided to grab a late lunch and also run to Walmart for a few quick things we needed. While there I knew I was pretty late with Aunt Flo so decided since I had a $3.00 coupon for an EPT test, heck for $0.97 I would go with that brand. Got home, Cliff fell asleep in chair watching TV and I decided to start unloading stuff from the trailer. Did that for a short time and felt the need to go the bathroom. While there thought I might as well take the test. Waited the 2-3 minutes and a faint "+" appeared in the window. I ran in there woke Cliff up to see what he thought and he said that it being so faint we better take a 2nd one and this time the Clear Blue Easy, where it actually stated pregnant or not pregnant. So there I went to Walmart AGAIN... Got my test and came home. By this time, Cliff was in the back working on the fence. I did the routine again... Within a short time the screen flashed PREGNANT!!!! I was so excited, but calmly ran outside and showed Cliff the stick and he grabbed me and hugged me. I started crying, as expected from me. Shocked, but over thrilled with joy for God to bless me with such a sweet new chapter in Cliff and my life. We can't wait to be parents and show the love we have for each other to our new baby! Please keep us in your prayers over the next 9 months as we begin this chapter.

Where to begin...

Lots and lots of changes around the Davis household and all blessings for the future. So since March of this year here is a quick run-down of our 2010 so far...
1. My employer closed my office down here in Decatur which was 2 miles from my house and moved my office to Plano, where I was driving almost 70 miles one way, yes one way.
2. Cliff and I took a mini vacation to a festival in Stephenville, TX with several of his co-workers and friends of mine too.
3. While on the trip, Cliff broke his hand. :(
4. May brought a surgery for Cliff on May 10, 2 days before celebrating our 3rd anniversary. Guess it was payback for our 1st anniversary when Cliff had to deal with me when my ankle broke and I was in a cast.
5. My 1st ever Rangers game and we sat in Home Plate seating!!! Total blast!!!
6. Celebration of friends birthdays
7. I came down with a serious case of nasty bronchitis and sinus infection in June.. So hot and no fun!
8. Our above ground pool collapsed. Sad part is we set up when Cliff's hand was broke and didn't level first. Lesson always learned!!
9. Clay and Delise's wedding
10. I was terminated from my job. :( Bittersweet, but best thing that could happen due to all the stress I was under.
11. Last and not least.... I'M PREGNANT. YES, you read it right, we have a little butterbean in the oven!!!
Lots of pics to come soon and I promise I will start blogging more to keep you all up to date!
