So the pain started in August and was just on and off. It would hurt a few days, then stop. I went to the dentist for a checkup and x-rays didn't show a thing back in August. Well the day after my birthday the pain intensified!!! Called the dentist and made another appointment. X-rays taken again and nothing still. So the dentist decided to smooth one side of my mouth out to maybe correct the bite a little. I was on Tylenol while there since the pain got bad before I got in, so didn't feel much. 5:30 hit that evening and I was in complete tears. I was freaking out knowing that my blood pressure and stress levels were thru the roof, Cliff was working nights, and I was just in complete pain. I went to Walmart for Ambesol and that didn't do a thing for the next 14 hours. Nor did the Tylenol. So I was awake all night with an ice pack on my face since I thought it was swelling. It was Wednesday by now and I called the doctor first thing. Went in and they noticed that my sinus cavities were inflammed, just like my cheek and its was filled with infection. So I was placed on an antibiotic and got some Tylenol 3 for pain! Both pregnancy safe!
So I waited until the following Monday and went in bright and early (7:30 am) Monday morning to downtown Fort Worth for a possible root canal. Low and behold that procedure was performed! It was smooth and easy, even though I was scared to death. I even brought Cliff with me and I never do that! Dr. Torgenson was a dream come true. Her staff was great and my mouth was soon to be pain free!!! Here I am 2 weeks later and feeling much better! I will go back in January, once the insurance covers more again and get a crown on that tooth!
